What You Need To Know About Dating A 50-Year-Old Man

When I got married I didn’t feel I wanted or needed someone else. My wife and I were intimate on a frequent basis and it wasn’t just sex it was a closeness and bonding witch I genuinely cared about. I remember while on a business trip I had a encounter with an attractive woman who wanted to be more than friends. She attempted to kiss me and I said I can’t do this I’m married and she said I am too. I said I don’t think you understand you are a beautify women but wouldn’t want my wife to do this and I can’t do it either. If I was in a marriage without the intimacy and love I had would I have reacted differently, perhaps I don’t know but in that moment 15 into my marriage I had no interest to be with anyone but my wife.

How Does Age Range In Relationships Affect Men And Women Differently?

I am looking for a church going woman that is not over religious because of my moral values. I want to do good things for good causes and contribute my little bit to a better world. Not sure how access will be increased as she is unwilling to do so as she wants to raise him in her religion which is different than mine.

Not one man has shown any interest. Turned 50 in December, though never fat – had gained a few extra pounds and always been muscular. I had already quit drinking and lost 25 pounds prior to my birthday and wanted to kick off a year of recovery to myself. Now, the rest of the story – I had been living with my wife for 17 years and married since 2006.

Having built nearly every single thing on earth and being responsible for its stability, safety, security and sustainability, I can assure you that this is not a man’s perspective. In fact, if we started giving less of a f— about what women thought about anything, we would enjoy a tremendous improvement in our collective mental health and maybe stop jumping off brudges . Am 54 and I tend to date women in their late 30s to early 50s.

What do you mean the meat hooks come out? I see red flags everywhere and am too quick to end things. The last relationship I had was after my divorce. This new man and I had lengthy conversations before we ever became intimate.

Then you get the men who are in denial with their soft performing noodle. If a man over 60 is not going to perform with a good hard on dont bother ! I love my own company and I love to have fun.

Dating in your 50’s – Easy for Men… Not so much for Women!

Just want someone to have conversations with and to start to live again. I agree that everyone has to go out and live their lives. Doing what has meaning for you is very important in life. You might just run into someone who gets you and has the same interests. Tony M……just like it makes no sense to lump all men into a category and stereotype them, all women should not be considered liars.

Dating an Older Man: Pros, Cons, + Advice For The Modern Woman

I am an attractive, intelligent, and kind woman. A lot of men of all ages where I live are one or more….overweight, smokers, drug addicts, don’t groom their facial hair….just plain lazy and couldn’t care less. I have met a few intelligent and seemingly nice guys online, but they live far away, even in other countries. Finding a good local man is a lost cause, at least around here, and even when I do find one he has a ton of baggage or he just doesn’t trust enough to try a relationship again. Nobody’s perfect, I get that….but perfection is far from what I am looking for.

I have nothing in common with the men down here. I am introverted too, and bar hopping and dating sites are not my thing. If I lived near you I am sure we would have some great laughs. I wish you well and hope you find love again. Lol, just happened to come across your post on this blog I visit periodically. I am a woman in my 50’s and partially agree with you.

It seems, Andrew, that Stitch is catering to older women who are looking for younger men. And, I see a lot of that on the dating sites I am on. Many older women looking for younger men – but reality is that most men are not looking for older women. It might sound good for your site, and in your column to say “age doesn’t matter”, but you are very WRONG.

I wouldn’t want to be with someone who was very overweight but I have had relationships with men who didn’t have perfect bodies. Physical attributes can often be worked on and I respect a guy who is trying to better himself by being more healthy. I became attracted to men I never thought I would because I used my brain to assess their character and intentions and in the end they became attractive to me as a whole person. Good men come in all shapes and sizes. Debbie – A key point that “female hypergamy” believers will make is that this behavior is not conscious.

Make Him Feel Like a Man

I know the handsome, fit, and financially sound men are looking for younger women so I have to compete with them for these types of men. The only way to do this is to be also be fit, well put together, get a little botox even, be confident, educated, happy, and fun! I have to take care of myself if I want a man who takes care of himself. I have no idea but I’m going to give it my all. I don’t know if Peter is serious or not, but he is correct. I’m 55, super fit and good looking and I have no problem meeting and dating much younger women.
